Quantitative measure of innovation activity on the micro level: a non-parametric approach
Annotation
A new measure of innovation activity of a decision making unit is introduced. It reflects the shift of the unit in the input-output space relative to the expanding production frontier. To estimate this measure, an iterative procedure is developed making use of a modified DEA linear program. This procedure also estimates technical efficiency scores adjusted for the innovation activity of the specific unit.
