The possibilities of strengthening incentive motives for rural commodity producers in the expansion and qualitative renewal of natural resources for industrial purposes and the environment are explored. Approaches to the decision of a question on increase of their interest in own financing of works on protection and restoration of natural resources are offered. One such incentive could be a complete exemption from the land tax levied on that part of the economic land on which work has been carried out to increase their productivity, as well as from additional lands under cultivation, with the obligatory condition that the output of production increases. Another, even more effective incentive could be a significant reduction in the tax rate from profit in the case of a more complete use of the production and resource potential compared with the previous period.
