Annotation
The article attempts to look at the process of the formation of Russian culture (in the broad sense of the word) "through the prism" of the philosophy of history. The reasons behind the characteristic features of Russian history and culture are examined, many of which are generated by the variant of Christianity, which was adopted by Kievan Rus, the Orthodoxy. On the basis of philosophical and cultural analysis, it is concluded that the domination of secular power over the spiritual, the orientation not on rationality, but on spirituality, the preaching of Christianity in the national language - these are the cornerstones of the specifics of Russian culture. The article is addressed to philosophers, culturologists, historians of Russia.
