The article is devoted to reflection in the memoirs of the Russian lawyer, philosopher, historian E. V. Spectroscope (1875—1951) different sides of life of theological faculties of universities of Yugoslavia in 1920s — 1930s: the Orthodox at the University of Belgrade and Catholic at the Lubljana University. Special attention is paid to characteristics of the professors of the faculties(including Russian). It is also characterized the perception by a memoirist of the religious situation in the Serbian and Slovenian parts of Yugoslavia in the interwar period.
