This article analyzes the phenomenon of «historical source» in modern historical scholarship in the context of its collision with postmodernism. Being the segments of the unified system of historical culture, the media space of history, the information and communication space of history, and historiography are argued to be characterized by similar properties and to be liable to similar influences. The situation of the collision of neoclassical historical science and postmodernism has been reflected in its relation to historical sources in the media space of history.
