Mikhail Bakunin’s Anarchism in Modern German Studies

The article is devoted to the German studies of the late 1980’s — 2012 regarding the personality and the anarchic theory of Mikhail Bakunin. The author determines achievements of the modern historiography, shows sphere of interests among the German specialists, and specifies schools of modern studies. There are biographic studies, which are based on the new archive materials and connected with new details and filling gaps in Bakunin’s activities, philosophical works, works about contribution of Russian anarchist to pedagogic science. In the article was found out that German authors are developing traditions of the historiography of 1970’s with its trend to humanist anarchism. On the whole the article presents that the most authors from Germany define Mikhail Bakunin as a practical philosopher with moral high ground.
