The article analyzes the state of innovative activity in the Republic of Tajikistan. The main factors influencing the formation of the innovation climate were identified. To assess the state of the innovation climate the global innovation index, the knowledge economy index, the global competitiveness index, the human development index were used. The main problems were identified, some mechanisms and ways to create a favorable innovation climate in the Republic of Tajikistan were suggested.
