Philosophy as the Ultimate Hermeneutic Interpretation and Dialogue of Cultures
Annotation

The article considers the peculiarity of philosophy as a hermeneutic and interpretive activity, which is always engaged in a philosopher, regardless of the problems that he has to solve. In this sense, philosophy always deals with the «secondary reality», which is based on texts that have already been created and which are themselves interpretations. Philosophy represents the ultimate level of interpretation. This interpretation is always personal in nature, linked to the characteristics of a particular philosopher, which in turn are determined by the culture in which the philosopher is initially immersed. Thus, philosophical interpretation is realized as a «dialogue of cultures» penetrating into each other's meanings through language. This is the reason for the difficulties that arise when translating philosophical texts. In philosophical translation, as a special work, it is quite acceptable that the author's text, after the interpretive and adaptive work of the translator on it, may significantly differ from its original version, even if its external resemblance to it is preserved. The interpretation field of philosophy is infinite in time, which determines the semantic eternity of philosophical problems, which, regardless of the time of interpretation, may acquire a new meaning and significance for the contemporary, moving from epoch to epoch. Philosophical research is a conscious statement of the cognizing subject, at the same time, inside a concrete culture and at the same time outside its framework, which allows to carry out the cognition of one's own culture, through the prism of another culture.
