Annotation

After the Mongol invasion, the Hungarian King Bela IV tried to take possession of Galich, put ting his son-in-law Rostislav Mikhailovich in it, but the Polish-Hungarian army was defeated near Yaroslavl in 1245. After that, due to the sharp deterioration of relations with Austria, Bela went to cooperate with Daniil Romanovich, recognizing his right to Galich. In addition, the Arpads and their entourage realized the necessity of returning some of the Polovtsy to Hunga ry, who had fled the country after the murder of their leader Kotyan in Pest in 1241.
