The proposed textbook for the discipline ‘Practical Phonetics of English’ presents a set of exercises aimed at developing students' phonetic-phonological competence through the use of the Shadowing technique.

Authentic practical material allows to improve pronunciation and rhythmic-intonation skills taking into account socio-cultural and phonological aspects. The publication is intended for students studying in the fields of Linguistics and Pedagogical Education, and can also be used as additional material for the development of listening and speaking skills within the framework of practical classes on the practice of speaking in English.
