Participation of the Russian Federation and China in the UN Reforms
Annotation

In his speech at the UN General Assembly on 22 September, Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized the threat to the modern world order posed by attempts to falsify the history of World War II. Beijing, which supports Moscow's efforts to protect historical memory, agrees with this point of view. At the same time, both powers link attempts by Western countries to revise the outcome of World War II with the sustainability of the UN. Xu Wenhong, deputy secretary general of the One Belt, One Road research center at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, discovers how China preserves the historical memory of World War II and what cooperation with Russia in this area can be expected.
