Nihilism in artistic comprehension of Ivan Turgenev and Fyodor Dostoevsky
Annotation
In the article Turgenev’s works are considered from the position of correlation of culture, public mind and ideological processes. Authors investigate contents and nihilism concept's transformation from it's absurd form by Turgenev to it's immoral form in demons by Dostoevsky. Methodological basis of the article can be designate as functionality of politics in the work's artistic gist. Authors find that one-sided political reading of the text is not only limit existential scope of an artist, but also oversimplify the subject of an artistic comprehension itself. In the center of authors attention there is the situation of unexampled alternative reading's versions of the novel by contemporaries, the reason of what authors see in ambivalent Turgenev's position. He portray his Bazarov as a transitional social type and Bazarov's nihilism as a symptom of the time. In Turgenev's work it's the symptom of a search for the lost bonds with proactive reformative life, although bounded in absurd forms. In Dostoevsky's works nihilism in forms of immoral philosophical and active position become a symptom of decline and death, loss the bond with reality by young generation.
