The purpose of the article is to identify the main directions of the Russian market domain development . The article revealed the impact of the common top-level domain name (gTLD) on the distribution of the global domain space, the importance of new top-level domain names (newTLD), factors and trends in the development of country top-level domains (ccTLD) on the example of the Russian zones: .ru, .rf . The positive dynamics of the market RF domain and the main domain registrars in the Russian zone of the network are defined in the article. The article highlights the significant role of the domain names for the country and the importance and need for the development and control of the Russian domain space.
