Annotation

This article presents the experience of creation of an electronic educational local history resource for the territory of an administrative region using the example of the implementation of the Nature Protection Portal of the Zhabinka District of the Brest Region. The environmental portal of the Zhabinka district was developed using the website builder WIX.com. The developed portal is characterized by a complex, multi-level structure. Two components can be distinguished for it: auxiliary and main. The auxiliary part of the portal includes sections: “Home”, “Contacts”, “Blog”. The main part of the portal consists of three sections: “About the Area”, “Web Applications”, “To Help the Teacher”. Also, various types of information presentation are distinguished within the portal: textual and cartographic material, tables and illustrations.

In general, the Internet portal presented in this work is an information resource designed to systematize and disseminate data on the natural features of the Zhabinka district, and also includes the results of the scientific study “Geoecological analysis of the environmental potential of the Zhabinka region”. The developed portal has important applied value (it is used in the process of teaching geography in schools of the Zhabinka district). The methodological foundations for the implementation of the portal can be used to conduct similar studies of other regions.
