Annotation

The article is devoted to the analysis of experience of interaction of state with believers and their organizations, including with Muslim spiritual departments to solve an important task — the formation of a positive image of the USSR from foreign citizens. A comprehensive study of the stated topic allows introducing into the scientific circulation new documents, unknown to the wider scientific community, of the highest state-political bodies of the USSR and the spiritual administrations of Muslims. This, undoubtedly, will provide an increase in historical knowledge and will allow an objective analysis of the forms and methods of their activity to achieve the goal, which will make it possible to draw conclusions and recommendations for the present, which will help organize effective interaction between the authorities of modern Russia and the spiritual administrations of Muslims.
