Annotation
The article deals with the problem of localization of the house on Mostenses street in Madrid, where the first Russian Embassy in Spain headed by Piotr Potiomkin had its residence in 1668. Based on the complex analysis of published sources and archival materials (both narrative and cartographic), it makes it possible to establish the exact location of the house, destroyed in the first third of the Twentieth Century during the construction of the Gran Via and to find a visual image of this house. The article also contains information concerning the internal structure of the house and its history as well as biography of its owner, the Royal Secretary Antonio de Alosa. This study allows to understand better the history of the Embassy that played an important role in the establishment of Russian-Spanish relations.
