The Argentine View of Russian Revolution
Annotation
This article analyses the dispatches of argentine diplomats in St.-Petersburg —Petrograd Eduardo Garcia Mansilla and Gabriel Martinez Campos and also Daniel Garcia Mansilla in Vatican to Ministers of Foreign affairs. The special attention is paid to the causes of Revolution 1905—1907, February and October Revolutions 1917, the examination of key events, which according to argentine diplomats caused great influence upon revolutionary process, their attitude towards Russian politicians, especially Lenin, their general appreciation of revolution. The article consists of four parts. The first and third parts analyse the social-economic and political situation in Russia at the end of XIX — beginning of XX century, the role of Russian-Japanese war 1904—1905, World War I (1914—1918) in the genesis of revolutions. The second and fourth parts analyse the dispatches of Eduardo Garcia Mansilla, Gabriel Martinez Campos, and Daniel Garcia Mansilla during the revolutionary process.
