Annotation

This article deals with the preparing of GIS-publication of the cities’ plans and descriptions, made during General Land Survey for the city of Balakhna of the Nizhegorodskaya province. This investigation reveals a typology of plans, created during the General Survey, proposes approaches to its binding, makes suggestions about appearance of plans. For certain plans, dating was determined. Also the degree of reliability of the information on the plans is defined.
