Otherness of Truth in Knowledge in the Humanities
Annotation
The paper examines the traditional definition of truth in the correspondence theory as a problem, exposes influences of the religious context and the cumulativistic doctrine of science. It evaluate critically an interpretation of the truth objectivity as the independence of the truth’s content from the human cognitive activity. A philosophical notion of ‘empirical subject’ is introduced. The notion takes into account the human being’s system of values, social, cultural and historical contexts as the most important parameters of all cognition and being in the world. An example of A. V. Mikhailov’s study in the truth of the poetical in austrian culture shows how peculiar versions of the truth in the humanities as another type of learning are.
