In 1940s the fiction was a part of the huge propaganda mechanism. The subject of Brusilovsky break was one of claimed by the authority. For disclosing it, the writers followed domestic and a foreign policy, thereby forming historical memory of heroic event of the First World War. I. Bakhtereva and A. Razumovsky's play «Russian general» has been saturated by patriotism, belief in mighty spirit of the Russian soldier and clear mind of the best Russian generals.
