The article is devoted to the problems of an interdisciplinary approach to the reconstruction of the social history of the Sarmatians and the structure of their society. The paper investigates interdisciplinary research of Sarmatian society and the possibility of archaeological, ethnographic and written sources. The article results with the conclusion about the role of contemporary ethnographic methods in the social reconstruction of the Sarmatians with the archaeological evidence.
