Annotation
In his article M.J.Myagkov puts the emphasis on the American post-war planning and the role of the USSR in it. Planning the post-war world order begun in the USA under the influence of the victories of Red Army. The position of the western borders was one of the important tasks for the Soviet management. Thus, the American military-political management (substantially under the influence of F.Roosevelt) understood the necessity of cooperation with Moscow. However, the status of superpower won by Soviet Union during the Second World War made the subsequent confrontation with Washington inevitable. The following fact: F.Roosevelt's confusion – the motor of improvement of the American-Soviet relations – in the face of post-war collision with the USSR is reflected in the citation of the heading.
