The features of applying agent-based approach to modeling demographic processes
Annotation
This article describes how to develop an agent-based model of socio-economic development of the region, starting with its demographic block. The concept of the demographic block is simulating the demographic situation in the region, including population change, its sex and age structure, the number of women of childbearing age, number of births and deaths. The basic condition of the model is a simulation of a resident population in the region and the natural population movement without considering migratory flows. In the process of developing the model was carried out the collection and analysis of statistical data needed for its formalization and filling. Regularities of demographic behaviour of the population have been formalized and implemented in the model. Under validation process the calibration was carried out adjustment coefficient calculated life expectancy of women. The model will calculate the demographic projections and evaluate the balance of labour resources which can be used in the process of strategic planning of regional labour market.
