The author examines the nature of the U.S. state policy of gender equality at the federal level, revealing the extent and limits of the influence of gender on the political life of the United States. Each presidential electoral cycle, which ends in the victory of the Democratic or Republican Party, carries with it certain changes or threats of these changes in the context of gender interests, depending on who holds the supreme power in the country.
