Annotation

The article provides an overview of the XII International Congress of Comparative Law “Technological Imperatives and Law”, held on November 30, 2022 at the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the Government of the Russian Federation with the participation of the Central Economic and Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The Congress was attended by a record number of participants in recent years — more than 500 people from 19 countries. The dominant topic of the Congress was the analysis of the consequences of the rapid digitalization of modern processes in social life, the specifics of the legal regulation of these processes. During the plenary session and round tables, the participants discussed issues of protecting the interests of society and private life in the digital space, the transformation of legal consciousness and legal behavior, the impact of new technologies on the basic parameters of the legal system, the expansion of the content of personal data as a consequence of the development of information technology, the formation and implementation of scientific and technological policy of the state, etc.
