The author concludes that three international organization considered in the article are limited in countering new security threats. However, it makes their existence doubtful because of the increasing interdependence of countries as well as the increasing number of new security threats. Therefore, the author not only provides the summary of each organization potential but also gives recommendations on the possible formats the new security threats may be dealt in the post-Soviet area. In particular, these threats may be countered via temporary coordination committees whose rules of creation should be elaborated.
