Interdisciplinarity in Oriental Studies: the Results of the XIII Scholarly-Practical Conference of Young Researchers “Meliksetov Readings” (April 4, 2019, Moscow)
Annotation

The article published here gives a review of the main results of the 13th practical conference for young scientists, called Meliksetov Readings, that took place in Moscow on April 4th 2019. This conference has been held annually since 2007 and was named after a famous Russian Sinologist, Arlen V. Meliksetov (1930–2006). Over the past decade, Meliksetov Readings have evolved into a traditional venue for young Orientalists from various scientific and educational institutions not only of Moscow, but Russia as a whole. This year, the organisers strived to emphasise the importance of inter-disciplinary approach in studying the Orient—separate countries and regions, but more globally, too, the Orient as an ontological entity.
