Alexander Akimov and Alexander Yakovlev reply to the remarks made in discussion of their papers published in Oriens, 2013, No 2. They insist that in their research they use civilizational approach as a tool for analysis and long-term forecasting, in a long-term forecast economic approach has limited potential, in a contemporary world there are several international organizations that are based on civilizational basis, and modern international relations show many cases of civilization base politics. For future development of long-term forecasting an interaction of different methodological approaches is necessary.
