The Practice of Outsourcing by American Corporations
The Practice of Outsourcing by American Corporations
Annotation

At present outsourcing became one of new forms to carry out international business. The main idea of outsourcing is to pass some business functions to foreign firms, which can fulfill them more effectively than American corporations. For the first time American corporations used such practice in the beginning of the 20th century and until now occupy leading world positions in this filed. The main executor of outsourcing services for American corporations is India, followed by Philippines, China, Indonesia and other countries. The main reasons to use outsourcing by American TNCs are to cut production cost, focus on core business, solve capacity issues, get access to intellectual capital, manage business environment. For these purpose U.S. corporations are using different types of outsourcing such as production, information technologies, business process and at the same time continue to work out and use new types of outsourcing. The main trend in outsourcing practice by American TNCs is the complication of functions given to the foreign firms-executors from miner to main functions based on knowledge and technical achievements. That’s why the actuality of outsourcing analysis is connected with its wide spreading through the whole world. Outsourcing usage allows to rise competitiveness of American corporations at the expense of reduction of production cost, reorganization of production and management activities, more intensive usage of technical achievements and other innovations.
