The article analyzes the development of the European Union’s trade relations at the beginning of the 21st century. The author explains the current trends in the EU foreign trade in goods. The data gathered for the period from 2001–2014 depends on the actual number of the EU member states (15, then 25,27, and 28) to achieve greater accuracy in main findings.
