Annotation

The article deals with education as a sphere that is the basis for the formation of the "zone of knowledge" of modern States individually and integration associations of States on the example of the EU and the EAEU. The author reveals the purpose and main directions of national programs for the development of educational space in Russia, the EU and the EAEU, as well as the impact of education on the formation of "knowledge society" and self-realization of the individual in civil society. Due to the fact that the formation of a common "area of knowledge" in the modern conditions of digital technologies is not possible without the integration of education into the world educational space (community) on an equal and mutually beneficial basis, the article emphasizes the necessity of participation of Russia in this process.
