Special Features of Everyday Cognition and the Development of an Image of Science in Social Consciousness
Annotation

Special features of modern everyday cognition in the context of developing an image of science in social and individual consciousness on the basis of using statistical data obtained from the students’ questionnaires are analyzed. The relation of the mechanism of interpreting scientific information by the individual with the peculiarities of his/her habitual standard patterns is explicated. A certain attempt to systematize these patterns is made. Most recent issues of popularizing science and diagnosing pseudo-science are discussed.
