Annotation

Marian Scott (XI century), an Irish monk who asceticised in Mainz, prefaced his chronicle with a series of Easter tables, on the margins of which he placed notes on the events of world history - changes of popes, emperors, etc. The lecture deals with the fate of this Easter with historical records in England. Mainly two manuscripts from the end of the 11th century are being studied: London's one (London, British Library) and Cambridge's one, University Library, Kk. 5.32.
