Annotation

The Archives of the Lviv Dormition Stavropigiysky Brotherhood is a unique archive of a public organization. In many ways, it allows us to reconstruct the history of the entire fraternal movement of Ukraine, at the origins of which were Lviv citizens. The Assumption Brotherhood was a model for the creation of new similar organizations, but it was distinguished by a significantly larger scale and scope of activity, was the largest and most influential among the brotherhoods of Ukraine, left a noticeable mark on the history of Ukraine in the 17th - 18th centuries, made a significant contribution to the development of education, printing, literature, and art.
