Solar energy and myths
Annotation

The article examines the impact of new technologies (solar energy and mobile communications) on the traditional culture of the Dogon people (Mali). These factors have noticeably changed life in the Dogon Plateau: culture from unwritten it turns into written, and social networks contribute to "secondary mythologisation" in the form of an artificially created "common Dogon myth".
